"Songbird" is an alt-rock song that tells the story of someone finding solace and inspiration in friendship and love during challenging times. The song was co-produced, mixed, and mastered by Dan Konopka, c/o Siren Sound Recorders and Mixers. It features lead guitar work from Gene Micofsky.

The songbird wakes me this morning,
I hear her from the sky above
Lying on my back, tired and weary
The dew wraps me like a glove

Soon to arise I stretch my legs
June is it? Or maybe it's May?
I hear my bird, early, singing

Upright I walk to the trellis
Flowering vines growing impossibly high
Like laces through shoes, climbing, knotting
The tangled mess what kind of fool am I?

There she was, the songbird called
Was giving me hope, breaking down my walls

My balance is off when I look up to her
So I keep my head down low
I let out a cry that I know will drown the song
Have to cover my ears pretend nothing's wrong
